OUR SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

FOOD RESCUE IMPACT

Scholars of Sustenance Thailand have run a food rescue operation since 2016. Starting from Bangkok, then Phuket, and then expanded to Huahin very soon. We rescue the surplus from our partners, and we weighted every container of food, identifying the food types, then safely deliver to the communities in need every day. Here’s are the impact numbers that we have been contributing to Thailand!

Since 2016, data as of December 2020

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT EQUIVALENT

All the food surplus will be turned into food waste, creating Green House Gases (Carbon Dioxides, Methane affecting the Earth’s temperature and climate change. This is our impact equivalent number based on our performance since 2016. By rescuing food surplus, Scholars of Sustenance Thailand have equally reduced the food going to landfill, saving GHG emission while providing support to the communities. Here’s the number of environmental impact equivalent based on our operation performance (Based on the calculation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency; https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gas-equivalencies-calculator)
