WHAT IS ZERO SUMMIT?
The food waste and sustainability summit serves as the platform for the discussion
for different stakeholders in the food industry with the focus on reducing food waste and promoting better food waste management and food rescue initiative within Thailand. The ZERO SUMMIT kickstarted in 2021 amidst the peak of COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand urging the collaboration and support from all sectors to achieve better food system in Thailand that
are more resilient, sustainable, and regenerative.

THE THAILAND CAPITALS HUB LAUNCH
As an official partner of Capital Coalition since 2022,
" Scholars of Sustenance will represent Country Capitals Hubs in the name of Thailand Capitals Hub. "
The Capitals Hubs are formed by communities of practitioners that develop and scale the capitals approach within specific regional or national contexts or within industries or sectors.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS HIGHLIGHTS
We selected 4 speakers to represent the concept and message toward the systematic transformation in the food system in Thailand where each of them represents each of their projects and business practice in their own respective standing point. Here is the key takeaway of each speaker:
Suwanna Langnamsank
the CEO of Lemon Farm
Ms. Suwanna has shared her business practices and sustainable approach at Lemon Farm (supermarket). She developed the career capacity-building initiatives for the small holding farmers promoting the organic practice and minimized the chemical usage in Thai food system
Apichaya O-In
Project Manager Social Cohesion for SDGs in Southern Border Provinces United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand Country Office.
It is necessary to create the framework that raising standards across the board through, Stronger laws and enforcement of higher minimum production standards
to create more of a level playing field for all companies, Reduced cost differential between legal minimums and industry best practice, Sector wide capacity building, Sector transformation across entire regions.

Vice President of Sustainability and Risk Management Berli Jucker, Big C
The collaboration has allowed Big C to transfer valuable scientific knowledge and expertise to local farmers in the country’s agricultural cooperative, helping to improve their farming practices and increase the quality of their crops. She also represents the case studies and need of the policy pushing for the private sectors regarding the food waste management and incentives.

Actress, Environmental Activist and Chief Executive Officer SiriThai
The key takeaway in her keynote session is that under the crisis and risk there are opportunity within them, it is necessary for businesses to be resilience and adapt to the ever-changing landscape to be more sustainable in their practices.
